Personal life

Ronan Keating grew up in the Bayside area of Dublin where he had a very happy childhood growing up with his brother and sisters.

Sadly, when Ronan was only 21 years old his mother Marie Keating died from breast cancer. Her untimely death on 2 Febuary 1998 led the family to set up a charity in her name, The Marie Keating Foundation, which helps women fight breast cancer.

Ronan married Irish model Yvonne Connolly on April 30, 1998, on Nevis Island. They have three children - Jack (born March 15, 1999), Marie, known as Missy (born February 18, 2001) and Ali (born September 7, 2005)
